Digimon: Just out of reach

He grip Kari's hand so tight he was sure he would break bones, but she was holding back just as tightly.

He wouldn't let her go but he stretch his other hand to the falling figure. He could feel his muscles pull at how hard he was reaching.

Those blue eyes of the other were bright and determine to reach him as well.

He fleeting thought of loosening his hold on his little sister to reach just a *little* further but the sound of her cry only made him tighten his hold.

"Come on! Matt!"

He wasn't crying, it was the wind beating against his face to cause the tears.

His voice wasn't cracking either, it was the debris making him struggle to speak.

"Take my hand dammit!" He swore as their fingers brush against each other. They wasn't going to die. They couldn't die. He wasn't ready to go.

Not till he reach that hand.

He heard Kari's panic cry 'I love you' and sorrow blue eyes...then nothing.

TT^TT I don't know why but the idea would not leave me. I almost thought about making this a triangle MattxTaixKari but ditch the idea.
